Travel the world in three days at Motif - Moose Jaw's only multicultural festival!
Motif is a non-profit festival that has been running annually since 1974 in Moose Jaw, SK. We strive to promote global citizenship in our local community through this three day multicultural festival filled with food, drinks, and entertainment! This weekend isn't only for the adults - there's something for the kids, too. Our free of charge Children's Cultural Area offer kids a chance to experience other cultures through games, crafts, and snacks.
Various local cultural groups work together to bring this weekend to life through endless entertainment on a stage that sits under a canopy of beautiful oak trees. Across from the stage is a horseshoe of booths presenting ethnic foods and artifacts from all the corners of the world! Dance your heart out with the Latin Americans, grab dinner from the Filipino booth, drinks from the Jamaican booth, and dessert from the Irish booth - the possiblities are endless!
Groups that have participated in the last couple years are: Caribbean Association of Moose Jaw, Irish Club of Moose Jaw, Moose Jaw, Jamaican Association Inc., Southern Plains Metis Local 160, Latin American Community of Moose Jaw, Filipino Community of Moose Jaw, Prosvita Ukrainian Culture Society, International Women's Society, Chinese Benevolent Association, Peruvian Association of Calgary, Cambodian Group, Liberian Group of Moose Jaw, South Africa - Saskatchewan, Wakamow Aboriginal Community, and more!
